I’ve passed level 3, and i’m not yet born

Swan, I’ve seen your picture, and you’re clearly not bald. Oh wait, unless we’re not talking about the hair on your head… Well, that explains the crabbiness.

In pictures I generally photoshop surrounding shrubbery and foliage onto my scalp.

40 6 years June 2003 - Passed L1 June 2004 - failed L2 (excuses: overseas wedding right before exam & prep for my own wedding & honeymoon, et al) June 2005 - failed L2 (excuses: overseas wedding right before exam, et al…tried not to let exam get in way of very good friend’s wedding) June 2006 - Passed L2 (no weddings yeah!) June 2007 - failed L3 (no excuses: just an especially bloody tough exam that year with curveball questions) June 2008 - Passed L3 (despite birth of first born child :-)!) Feel a sense of relief to finally be done, although if you told me before I started it that it would take me six years I probably would not have begun CFA program. Life is too short. My sincere sympathies to anyone who failed…hang in there. It will probably be worth it in the end and try to focus on all the learning you have obtained which nobody can take away from you.

42-on my third attempt at LIII Here’s a toast to all you 20-somethings. Wished I had started back then. Oh well, with Social Security looking iffy, I figure I still have 20 good years to put my charter to use (if I ever get it).

  1. Took me 3 years, including the studying for level 1. I failed level 2 once.

37 - 2/7 Another old guy chiming in 2002 started skipped LII once (new job/lazy) 2008 failed LIII once and last time hat’s off to the 20 somethings and the 40 somethings. Wish I had even heard of this in my 20’s. Then again, wish I hadn’t heard of this in my 30’s

28 should get the charter next month

44 LI – Dec 2006 LII – June 2007 LIII – June 2008 Charter (so I hear) – Sept 2008.
