The CFA institute describes it as: “(i) evaluating or applying financial, economic, and/or statistical data as part of the investment decision-making process involving securities or similar investments, which includes, but is not limited to, publicly traded and privately placed stocks, bonds, and mortgages and their derivatives; commodity-based derivatives and mutual funds; and other investment assets, such as real estate and commodities, if these other investment assets are held as part of a diversified, securities-oriented investment portfolio; or (ii) supervising, directly or indirectly, persons who practice such activities; or (iii) teaching such activities.” Being a prop trader should def. count. I wouldn’t think being a mortgage officer would count, but mortgages and their derivatives seem to count. If you can say that you look at economic releases to inform decisions about interest rates on the mortgages you offer, then you should be able to count the experience.

MattLikesAnalysis Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > 22 w/ 6 months experience. goin’ for youngest I’m in the same boat, even with the experience bit. I turned 22 in December though. Are you younger than December 1985?

Damn. October. Oh well, maybe you’ll fail  jk. We can all have an '85 born graduation party and listen to Tears For Fears and play with Ninja Turtle action figures.

Maybe YOU’LL fail. :stuck_out_tongue: No, I hope we both pass. Then we can tell everyone that it doesn’t matter how ridiculously young, dumb, and impulsive you are, you can pass LV1 and LV2 at 21-22. (and in my case, forget it all after an alcohol-filled night)
