29…and fearing the day when that ticks up a notch.
34 for me.
27 here.
25 here. So this being a CFA post, who’s going to run the regression???
There is only one variable.
You could add a dummy coefficient for “pass” or “no pass”…
holy hanna, this is freaking kindergarten…y’ all can just start addressing me as “grandma” 42 (but I’m one damn hot “grandma”!)
Is MILF a pejorative term in this context?

I think I saw on CFA’s website that about 25% of chartholders are around 25. That stat might not hold looking at the average lvl IIers here.
30

Can’t be right, that statistic makes no sense either 25% around twenty five, in which case, what constitutes around 25. Or interpreted as 25% that are 25, there is no way that 25% of the charterholders are all the same age. I’m going to go with most likely the average age for a candidate is 25ish. Go to any charterholder convention anywhere and start categorizing by member badges, the avg age is def like early to mid 30’s
Here are a few data points (I’m only counting things on the CFAI website): In June, 2005, 50% of Level III exam takers were age 31 - 40 www.cfainstitute.org/aboutus/investors/pdf/analysis_cfa_cfp.pdf In June, 2000, the ages across all three exams were as follows: 40% were 26 to 30 26% were 31 to 35 (www.cfainstitute.org/aboutus/press/release/00releases/00cfafacts.html)
- Kinda worry about the 4-yr working experience requirement right now… I worked as a Prop. Trader for a year after graduation, currently working as a Mortgage Officer at a bank. Don’t know if these experiences would qualify. Any ideas? Thx.

- What have I been doing with my life?
23 and no work experience . . . it will be great to get the exams out of the way though.
^I agree. turning 23 in March, we’re in the same boat. As a consultant, my work experience doesn’t exactly help - but come July, I’ll have a full year under my belt…i.e., time to change careers.
I start my ER associate gig in July. Hopefully I will go 3 for 3 with these exams. I only have to study for Level 3 while on the job and then just sit back and let the work experience earn me the charter. By the time I get the charter I will probably start working on applying to business school. It’s going to be a great 3-5 year break from academics.
