Oh that explains it. Seriously though, I wonder if he purposefully violated the computer policy or he just didn’t care to follow it. Chinese people tend to ignore rules like this. It’s a cultural thing.

I once worked for a company that also had operations in mainland China, and some Chinese engineers were visiting us. Imagine my surprise when I cameback from lunch and found my Ethernet cable gone. One of them was using it. It’s not like it was lying around, this little bastard had unplugged it from my work laptop to plug into his.
