Just took CFAI 2010 AM Mock and graded my answers. I am used to Schweser style concise answers and was surprised to see the detailed answers give in CFAI answer key. Now I am wondering which method to use in actual exam. The 2 approaches are pretty different and CFAI approach would call for efficient time management. Any inputs?
Somewhere on the CFA site, I don’t have a link, they describe the essay format question in detail. Basically, they say that their answers are far more thorough and detailed than is necessary for the exam and that they expect basically no one to be identical. The way it reads to me is that they provide pretty broad leeway and just want you to hit the main points of the question, so don’t be taken by the depth of the CFA sample answer
