Am I a Level 2 Candidate?

I passed the Level 1 exam in December of 2009. I plan to register for the Level 2 exam in June of 2011. I seem to recall from my studying for Level 1 that you could not refer to yourself as a CFA Candidate unless you were scheduled to take the next test or you were awaiting results from the last test. As such, would it be against the standards for me to refer to myself as a “Level 2 CFA Candidate” since I am not currently scheduled for the next Level 2 exam? If that is the case, then I ceased to be a candidate as of 1/27/2010 @ 10:15 AM when I got my pass results from the December 2009 exam. Thanks

No. You are only a Level 2 candidate after you sign up and pay. It would be a violation to refer to yourself as a Level 2 Candidate at this time.

I guess CFAI wants thier money before you get to put it on as ur tittle

On your resume just write “Completed Level I of the CFA Program In December 2009”

To be technically correct, the OP can state, “passed Level 1 CFA exam in December 2009.” I think reference to completing the Level 1 CFA program is misleading.
