AM/PM - difference in difficulty

Hi, I read a few times that the afternoon exam session tends to be more difficult than the morning session. Do you feel that there is a difference in difficulty between the two sessions?

I failed last december and the afternoon was more difficult than in the morning, maybe more quantitative than theoric. However, in June the two exams were quite similar in term of difficulty, but much more theroric than what I expected.

The questions are randomly drawn from a bank of questions so there is no significant difference in difficulty across the two sessions. Personally I found the afternoon session easier, but that could be explained by my being more familiar with the exam, having already eased into it in the morning, and having gotten over any nerves. On the flip side some find the afternoon harder. Might have something to do with being mentally tired. Dont worry about such things. Just concentrate on being prepared for any kind of questions at any point during either session

If the PM is harder it’s for one of 2 reasons: -Pure chance -Fatigue

Sounds plausible that fatigue makes some candidates think PM is harder.

I passed Level I in June and the AM session was noticeably more difficult. I had always heard that the PM section was hard, I just assumed that’s how the exam was always structured. I came out of the AM session feeling very unsure of my performance. It was reassuring to see a lot of confused and frustrated faces leaving for lunch. I was able to fly through the PM session and left the exam center feeling very confident that I had passed. Very few people will tell you that the sections are evenly weighted. There will always be a more difficult section.
