just got mine…a measly 2.5%, but I’m a corporate analyst i the HOMEBUILDING industry so I wasn’t expecting much more than inflation…
5.7% for me with a 20% bonus. I’m happy.
10%, and measly bonus of $500 for passing the CPA within one year of eligibility,
I failed to mention that I did get a 10% bonus. I’m pissed, I saved my company over $300k on a project…
Wake2000 you passed the CPA congrats. Could you tell us which test is harder. CPA or CFA Level 1?
My company just announced salary freeze yesterday and we never had bonus.
I would say for the amount of volume and the lack of depth that is on both, they are on equal terms. But I found it much easier to study for the CFA Level 1 having obtained the knowledge needed to pass the CPA if that helps. Level 2 on the other hand from what ive heard…
Be glad you have a job.

define decently paid? shall we do salary ranges… 45 - 50k range here, 25yrs old
45 - 50k. 22 yrs old.
40k w/ 3rd qtr. bonus 5k, 4th qtr. bonus 10k (started in June)

i would love to be equities in dallas hahaha
hahaha, nice
I won’t be too happy unless I get at least a 10K raise and a 20% bonus. (Note that I never said I was EXPECTING it. I’m ready for some disappointment).
23 yrs old $55 base 7k bonus. 4.5% annual raise
btw, what positions do you guys have and in what city? Salaries seem on the low side for it to be in banking (Although if those are JUST base salaries then on a normal year you would’ve expected 30 - 40K bonus on top of it). And how do you know your raises already? Both firms that I worked at communicate their raises / bonuses in january/february When I took my job… I was expecting ~ 100K (including salary and bonus). Now… with the deterioration in the financial sector… probably 85 - 90K 23 in new york doing software dev for a bank.
Don’t know about bonuses this year, I work for a small private wealth management firm and I’m not thinking we’ll get much of anything which stinks because I was really looking forward to buying a new MacBook Air to replace my Powerbook. : ( I’m still hoping for 5-10k though in bonus, we’ll see. As far as salary I’m at 75k and I’m 30 with an MBA.
23, 100k, cash, shares bonuses, and stock options (now all out of the money with the stock market decline)
