Description Investment analyst position purchasing public bonds and sourcing private placements for the Bond and Corporate Finance Group’s Food and Commodities team Specific Responsibilities Focus on direct origination for debt and equity financing for all parts of client capital structure of food and commodity-related companies. Manage marketing and market research program for prospective investments in the assigned region including identification of potential investments, communications with company management, and arrange and/or attend customer visits for both new and existing prospect companies. Participate in all steps of the investment process including initial marketing, credit analysis, due diligence, credit approval, documentation and deal closing. Assist in managing the investment portfolio including - Monitoring quarterly financials and covenant compliance Analyze and process amendments, waivers and other legal document modifications Analyzing requests for additional capital Working closely with underperforming investments to ensure credit improvement Performing quarterly and annual reviews to update management on credit performance. Create and maintain various financial models to support investment decisions and portfolio maintenance. Participate in the drafting of internal credit approval memos, investor, and rating agency presentations and offering memorandums for high yield and syndicated loan offerings.
