Any one else annoyed with Elan??

So after having liked the material for Elan Level One I chose to use them for Level 2. It’s now January and I have still not received the hard cover copies of their material, no questions are available and a number of chapters are missing, including Fundamentals of Credit Analysis. Has anyone else received the hard cover material from Elan yet? Very disappointed with the pace with which they are operating

I got 2 books in like mid-December. You should definitely follow up with them!

Yeah. I got my first set (Books 1 and 3) in December 3rd week or so. You should check with them. They said the next set will be coming out in 2 weeks. I hope it does. I agree that timing wise, they have done a poor job. But love the material…

I used elan for level I. Never again will I use them. Awful experience.

They forgot to send me my first two books in December. I only received them today  But despite some issues here and there, their response to all my questions has been near to immediate and very honest concerning timelines etc…

Agree their timing is off (a lot more than it was for L1), but I found last year’s material very useful and I wouldn’t change provider in any case.

I agree. I’m very disappointed with their postponement on delivering materials. When I signed up, a lot of reading were supposed to be ready in December 2012. They are stil not ready. I’ve send e-mails, and they’ve just ignored them. No response.

I would seriously consider not using them again. Given the delays I won’t endorse them. I’d suggest looking for other providers that have their act together.

Seems like I had the same happen to me as Hanna because i’ve since emailed Elan and they responded immediately and actually manage to send me the two books the next working day which was very good and they did apologise for their error. They also upgraded me for free for the inconvenience which was a good touch.

Still my main issue is waiting for the questions as I find that I learn from reading the material, then analysing and writing my own notes and then working through practice questions to gage how well I have understood. The possibility of having to wait until March (release schedule January - March) isn’t good. They definitely handled Level 1 better and will probably gradually improve Level 2 to the same standard.

I would highly recommend against using Elan as your main study source for level 2. They are new to level 2 and do not have their act together yet. I have ordered their package but I am using it as a a complementary source to schweser. You don’t want to totally depend on them. I have only received one book so far. Level 2 is hard enough to pass as it is, you should be able to have all materials at this point in time.
