Just curious, like companies have recruitment program for fresh MBA’s or undergraduates, is there any program exclusively for new charterholders?
Not at all.
The CFA is not a magical entry ticket (and it was never meant to be). It was designed for professionals already in the industry to boost an existing career.
If an entry ticket is what you want, a top MBA is your best bet. The power of the school’s on-campus recruiting program is the one area that will always beat the CFA program. But obviously you pay for it - $200k instead of $5k
What about Jobline from CFA institute…
Obviously that cant be as great as Campus Recruitment…But can that be a good option for experienced professionals like me who would be moving to US…
Anybody tried that??
Yes I have tried that 2 times in my career. Overall it is only slightly better than the big job search websites.
But still tons of jobs on there can be found in other places
I’m afraid not. Not to sound extremely bitter, but I feel like my time would have been better spent networking and positioning myself for a top MBA program rather than go through the CFA program.
The Jobline isn’t that great either. When you click on the links, it takes you to the employer career site or efinancialcareers which you can access on your own.

I was contemplating a part-time MBA next year in 2013 (but by that time I would be 32.5 - age is not by my side, unfortunately). The prime time is gone and lost forever.
Don’t bash me up for it - I know there is no documented rule that the median age of the class is 27 to 31, but I am just saying, that it’s an uphill battle. Thinking of taking the GMAT itself is a 6 months activity.
