Try using the balance sheet equation (A = L + E) as your frame work. You’ll still have to know what the aggressive accounting method used is, but then just figure out what you have to do to undo it…the balance sheet equation helps because it helps you figure out both steps (as undoing any of the shenanigans requires a mininum of two entries…think T charts from accounting). It sounds stupidly simple, but make sure it “balances” after.
