any tricks on how to memorize ethics

any acronyms or anything that you guys have that could help me better understand ethics is appreciated. I am beginning the ethics review at the moment.

#1 rule about ethics. you don’t memorize ethics. you taking June or December exam?

June

It doesn’t hurt to memorize the headers of the ethics standards. I got one question wrong recently because I forgot that Referral Fees was under Conflicts of Interest (not one of the ‘duties…’)

keep reading examples is all I would say. Stick to CFAI material as much as possible. Check out the SOPH handbook, there’s a test at the end with good answer descriptions… http://www.cfapubs.org/toc/ccb/2005/2005/3 and of course the gazillion ethics threads here… post questions - we’ll help.

actually yes NByz you’re right about that - memorize: Code of Ethics (what’s part of code vs. standards) 8 parts of GIPS general outline of the Standards good point…

God, it’s a painful read. I did it today as a refresher. I remember cfacowtown saying it wasn’t that bad. Well, you sir, are a sick individual if you enjoyed that read.

Memorize macro-headers as slorte has suggested but don’t worry about micro-concepts and really drilling down. It’s more about being able to apply the general concepts of the framework then regurgitate it.
