I counted roughly 50 on my exam, hoping to get at least 33% of them right, but it isn’t looking good so far. Anyhow this still would put me above 70… Anyone else count the guesses?
yes first off, if you counted 50 wrong and got them all wrong, which is extremely unlikely, you would Still be above 70% so i wouldnt worry too much. Im guessing that on some of those questions you counted you probably eliminated 1 of the answers, so you could probably end up getting more than 33% of those right. You probably will get some of the other ones you thought you got right wrong, but with those numbers you should be ok (thats my guess) I counted 64 i was “unsure about”. That ranges from complete guess (about 3 questions) to 80% confident on answer but not fully sure. Ive checked up some of the ones i remember, and have gotten like 4-5 right and about 9-10 wrong (and some of them i should have known!). Im hoping this is good enough to pass, but i am nervous. You need to get 72 wrong to have a 70, so i have a little bit of wiggle room
PC - you’ve got six weeks until results. Why dont you just enjoy the time off of studying and deal with the result when it comes rather than stressing yourself out. Is there anything you can do now to figure out if you passed or impact the result? No, there is not.
I counted 84 correct on the morning for sure … . the other 36 im not sure about on the morning … but i took very educated guesses on those … the afternoon i didnt have time to count … but at last count, i had 14 incorrect for sure … I had no sleep the night before and was running on energy drinks and could not focus … i made questions more complex than they needed to be … I was surprised with the ethics and did well on it … i would like to think …
How can you be concentrating fully on the exam when you are worried about keeping track of how many you got correct and were unsure about? IMO you are better off focusing on each question and throw out the window counting how many you were unsure about.

back when I took L1 2 years ago, I left with 15 unsure questions.
I had 14 that I realized were incorrect after I got home … I checked up on them … it was stupid mistakes ( I obviously can’t mention the exact questions) … The second exam I was done and had checked to ensure all bubbles were filled in with 3 min remaining … the morning exam I was done and had double checked everything with 24 minutes remaining … since I couldn’t leave, I decided to check and see which questions had correct answers for sure … if I needed more time on the questions, I would’ve used it like I did on the second exam instead of counting answers I thought were correct …
On both sessions I counted 24 unsure and made sure of 12 when I went back home from my CFA books and they were all right so I’m unsure about 12 (all of them ethics LOOOL) only and wouldn’t bother looking I wouldn’t care if all were wrong
I wouldn’t even dare to count the ones I was “sure” about because lets be honest, how can you ever really be sure? As far as unsure, I’d say roughly 40 (half of those being Ethics). I also guessed on 6 or 7 questions.
My plan is simply to start studying L1 next week onwards again , i beleive that the curriculum for June 2011 is mostly the same. This is because i m unsure of passing, as i was underprepared, looking at how people here have prepared themselves for the exam, i solved only 5 mock exams (that too 7 days before the exam lol) whereas those working on this exam really hard must have solved many Mock exams. Also i am unable to assess my performance on the exam (unsure) and as the feeling is that MPS would most probably be higher, it gives very less hope. So to be on safer side, i have decided to revise the entire curriculum (this time from CFAI books) and start solving many many mocks.
@ vgmalu…“i solved only 5 mock exams” …Wow !! You scare me now !!! Though I did all of CFAI EOC and glanced thru kaplan…dint do much of mocks
Hey guys, I managed to recall yesterday 86 out of the 240 questions in the exam from all sections, except ethics. My score is 86% on these questions, with a tendency to remember all of them, without biases towards the correct ones. The problem is that ethics willl surely lower my score, since during the exam I counted only 20/36 of which I was sure they were correct, and I think my minimum score on ethics will be 60%. What do you think??
@yalo i solved only 5 exams and each exam only once, i have heard ppl trying to solve mocks a month in advance b4 the exam.
had 25 I was unsure about in the morning, and 21 in the afternoon, Most of these 46 I had an idea about, but not 100% sure, also Ive checked 3 of unsure ones and all of them have been correct. so If I get even 80% correct out of the 196 odd im confident about, and 33% of the 43 im not so confident about, I still make it abive 70%. not worrying too much about the exam now, its done. Planing GMAT on Jan 12, anyone interested in forming a study group?
