Hello,

I am CFA level 3 candidate presently working in US, investment management firm and looking to make a move to UAE. I am on the IT side, working as system architect and development manager. I need some information regarding investment management firms in Abu Dhabi/Dubai. I am looking for jobs requiring financial and IT knowledge. I would appreciate if you would be able to provide some information regarding following,

(1) What are the investment management leaders in UAE?

(2) How is the present job market in UAE?

(3) What’s the best way to apply for job?

  2. There is always room for mid career people with expertise.

  3. Get to the decision makers - you need a strong referral. Applying via HR is almost always a waste of time if you want to target these companies.

Thanks a lot for your response. Regarding (3), although your point has weight but presently I don’t have any contacts in UAE to get to the decision makers or finding a referral, as I am working in US for last 12 years. Any suggestions for networking in UAE?
