The problem with AI is that the topic is so scattered. PE/VC, Commodities, Hedge Funds, Real Estate. Yes, they’re all “alternative assets”, but they’re so inherently different from one another. Either you study everything in AI or nothing at all. Hedge Funds and Commodities are pretty easy, but some of the PE/VC & Real Estate calcs get pretty hairy. PM - Just have a working knowledge of the big concepts especially the IPS/Investor qualitative stuff. There are a ton of little formulas in PM so if you had to skimp on something I wouldn’t bother memorizing them.
