Anyone work in captive finance?

Like the title says, does anyone here work in captive finance? If so, how do you like it? What kind of interesting positions are out there? Thanks in advance.

What is that? A trust fund for the guys in Guantanamo?

They never let me leave the office! Is that captive finance?

If I understand correctly, captive finance company is financing subsidiary for parent’s customers, like GMAC for GM and in a sense credit card companies owned by retailers.

Zigy is right. These types of subsidiaries are most common for the big auto companies, heavy equipment manufacturers, etc… They issue bonds and/or ABS and lend to customers and dealers. I wonder how many of these positions are involved in funding/capital market interaction and how many are credit analyst type jobs.

sounds like the branch of finance where juniors get perpetually owned by their managers…
