Atheism is not faith. It is carefully and logical reasoning from lack of evidence of God that has brought us to the conclusion that God does not exist. No-one can ever be 100% confident 1 way or the other…of anything!! From day turns to night. Or the world is round. It is never 100% confident.
If i asked; Are there 4 humped camels living in the Antarctic ? I would come to the conclusion there are no camels a) because camels don’t live in the Antarctic and b) because if they did, there is no such thing (to my knowledge) of 4 humped camels… is my conclusion an article of faith…? No! It is of careful scientific reasoning. Given it is reasoning, if you showed me a picture of a 4-humped camel in the Antarctic. I, as someone who uses reasoning would change my conclusion to Yes, there are 4 -humped camels in the Antarctic.
If I flipped this on its head and brought all the evidence of maps, pictures, fossils, showing that there has never existed 4 humped camels or camels of any kind in the Antarctic. Could a person of faith have his mind changed? No! That is because it is a faith based system and not one of careful and logical reasoning.
I ask you as someone of faith. What would it take for you to NOT believe in God? if you answer nothing then you are a person of faith.
If i ask an atheist; what would it take for you to believe in God? And they said he would turn this turn up in front of me and prove it. Then that would be logical reasoning.

I hate religion. And if (that’s a big IF) God existed I would hate him too.
Religion has brought more death and punishment then anything else over the past 2000 yrs. If God actually existed, then why are children in Africa dieing, God lets them die from an accident of birth place. Anyone who worships a God that lets children die like that is sickening!
Atheism is disbelief or lack of belief. You can’t say every athiest is an athiest because they utilized logical reasoning. Are you going to answer those two questions? I answered yours.
Obviously not only those things. There is 10000x more scientfic evidence refuting mumbo jumbo in all the religious text. The above is my reasoning for hating any God that does exist or is ever proven to exist.
Ok wow. You just went from hating religion to hating any God that does exist. Its great when you characterize all religious text as mumbo jumbo. It gives us a great jumping point to delve into a particular part and pick apart why it is true or false, real or fake, spiritual or material, historical or fabricated, real story or fable, or any other types of discussions. But, why bother? Its mumbo jumbo right. Why would I? I don’t What would change my mind? Its not even about words. The fact is that I am responsible for all of my actions in my life. My actions speak the answer more than words ever will (for good or for bad).
@Pokhim - you’re being particularly antagonistic towards religion. Is there something personal, or do you just have this amount of vitriol toward something that really has no effect on your life?
You have faith. I have logic. Your faith is an extension of my logic, but what is worse is that you choose to worship a deity that hates the suffering, the murdered, the unfortuntate or anyone that has faith in a different diety. I find that sickening.
I’m pleased you don’t take your religion too seriously. Anyone that does I see as a danger to humanity.
I’ve never made the jump beyond logic unless I need faith to prove a logical stance. If I can’t prove my faith with sincerity then I dismiss it. You on the other hand will maintain a faithful stance without proof.
