Audi

Greetings All!

I am looking into buying an a3 1.8 sedan soon and was wondering if anyone has any experience buying one. What options do you recommend? Currently opted for a technology pack and thats abt it. Color is blue with black interior although weather is hot where im at.

Apreciate the 2 cents advice…

Go with the S3

no no, the R8

Nice color combo. I used to have a black leather interior on a prior vehicle and it wasn’t the end of the world, even in Texas.

ohh, how cute. Nothing says “I like man-bags, Frappachinos and park-assist” like an A3. Man up and get yourself at least an A4 quattro. Audis don’t like heat that much either. Chances are, you’ll find yourself at the dealer every other month. If you want to have decent Euro-car, go for the BMW 320i Sports Package as a starter and proceed to the 340i M Package as you progress up the career ladder.

The problem with the A3 1.8 is that the Volkswagen GTI exists. Both cars use the same platform, but the VW is faster, more practical and spacious, cheaper, and has 90% of the design and interior quality of the A3. I don’t think you can even choose AWD when you get the smaller A3 engine.

The A3 1.8 is a good car for its class. Unfortunately, this class is defined by the cheapest cars that enable buyers to get a premium badge, and this is most likely why you chose this particular model.

+1. Right on the money. GTi > A3 1.8T. I’m fairly confident you cannot get Quattro with the 1.8T engine. If you really want the badge I would strongly recommend the A3 2.0T or maybe try to pick up a demo/certified used A4 2.0T with low mileage? The A4 is nearing the end of its cycle so looks a little old, but Audi is giving pretty sizable discounts because of it.

^This…at least an A4…dont be the p***y who got an A3. Thats like getting a BMW 1 series. If youre not willing to drop at least $40k+ on a german car then just get a honda civic. A3 is small, ugly, and underperforms (kind of like fixed income).

Not neccessarily. A used 50,000mi BMW 320i comes at 17k. Unlike anything VW dishes out BMWs reach their prime past 30,000mi and even 80,000mi BMWs can last for another 5 years. If you are willing to import one from Europe you can save even more, because basically all large corporations in Germany run BMW fleets which they swap out every 4 years. Those used cars are usually in top shape (non-smoker and dealer service) and come way cheaper than anything you can get from private sellers. Cost of shipping, licensing and adapting (mph displays, plate holders, etc) are around $1.5k excl. import taxes. You would only need to learn how to drive with manual transmission.

Would love to but thats another $10,000 right there. Went to the dealer yday and things add up on the a3. I may be relatively new to buying cars but they are charging me for an ashtray. That s**t should come standard.

Ahhh…Thats my baby right there.

I could go for all black leather. Or Rallye Cloth balck and Blue. Unfortunately the dealer doesnt have Black and Blue leather.

Im opting for the Black and Blue cloth. What do you think?

Plenty of Mercedes and BMWs where im at. Personally I think Audis Look better. Personal Preferenece.

Now before you start hating on the A3 check out the 2016 A3 Sedan interior. Beautiful. I think the A4s are coming out with the same interior next year.

Quatro? Not living in snow, rainy weather. Sun is shining 365 in a year.

I dont drink starbucks or frappachinos for that matter. Keep the cute italians to yourself

A3 2.0 comes as S3. whcih is another $10,000. Then you add the extended warranty, service and maintenance. Im looking at $12-13,000.

GTI definately nice interior. Had a chance to ride in one with a friend. Now exteriior wise. I dont know. Not to fond of how it looks from the outside. Granted under the hood it a powerful machine. S3 and GTI would come out around the same price.

You got it right the a4 is nearing end of cycle. Which means that badass interior wont be in any of the used ones.

Ahh didnt quote. Replies in order: Analti, Itera, Krazy Kanuck,I am highway, Kanyeezy.

You have it wrong my friend. You can definitely get the A3 with the standard 2.0T motor (220HP). The S3 has the beefed up 2.0T motor with 292HP.

Audi is all about Quattro, settling for the FWD version frankly seems like you would be missing the point. It doesn’t matter if you have perfect weather, FWD cars are crap to drive. If you want to stick closer to the price point go for the BMW 320i as previously recommended… it will be infinitely more fun to drive

Yes, but it’s still a solid vehicle. And as an owner of a 2013 A4 2.0T, I still think the interior is a fairly nice play to be.

Lay off. Those are tasty.

Edit: Nice work OP. Six comments in a row? I’m not even mad. That’s amazing.

Says bidet man.

Haha. Thank you sir. These were replies. So this is how you reply to a quote…

Audi owner checking in. Only buy the audi if you are prepared for women of all ages, and backgrounds, to throw themselves at you.

And by throw themselves at you, i really mean have no idea about the engine, what you spent, or give any fu$ks whatsoever (you may get so looks by the bros since they are the only ones that really care). my honest opinion, use it as a down payment and buy some investment property and buy some pos car that gets from point A to point B

having said all this rubbish, give no f&cks about the women because, well, they are retarded. Buy the nicest car possible to get that much needed boost of confidence in the form of, “yo bro, is that a supercharged v6?”
