Bad Balance Sheets

If you thought the financial companies had bad balance sheets, take a look at this: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4313487 “NEW YORK – Lenny Dykstra, the former star center fielder for the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, court records show. Dykstra, 46, has no more than $50,000 in assets and between $10 million and $50 million in liabilities, according to a petition filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Central District of California…”

I remember that article on Dykstra that was posted on here a few months back. The guy seems like an absolute waste of flesh. His own family has been scammed by this SOB. It sounded like he may have some shady business partners and I would not be surprised if they find dead or he just ‘disappears’.

I have read a couple of articles on this guy. He is just a wannabe financier. He’s a meathead

He’s a meathead Yea, as opposed to that Bernie Madoff guy…he was a real financier. I hear where you’re coming from, but seems to me he’s no better/worse than many other ‘pros’ out there. I’m certainly not apologizing for ‘Nails’, just trying to frame his lackluster performance in a different light.

^^ Hmmm, good point.

I’d really recommend reading the ESPN.com article by Mike Fish before making any comments relating Dykstra to anyone in finance. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4084962

he was just on real sports 2 or 3 weeks ago and was saying that he is not broke and that he didnt owe anyone any money and went on and on. It made me sick. In fact I remember Jim Cramer said that he is one of only a few that he would take finanical advice from! LOL!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lo77x4VeoQE

Like it or not ‘Nails’ is/was a part of the finance world…there’s plenty of bad with the good. There are plenty of Tim Sykes’ out there to balance out the George Soros’.

He actually stole his stock picks from someone else, he just took credit for it.
