There’s a case to be made that he’s out because Kelly doesn’t think he’s hawkish enough and his non-interventionalist tendancies. Becuase in the Trump admistration you have to be 100% wrong on everything not 90% wrong like Bannon.
No, I think Kelly fired him because Bannon was a toxic influence on the administration and was not qualified to do the job. You don’t get to be a 4 star general without knowing how organizations work.
Yes, it does. Trump does not do 100% of the work in the executive branch, nor does he make all the major decisions. Strong appointees in the White House will influence policy decisions; John Kelly was the one who fired loyalists Mooch and Bannon, not Trump. If the White House hires a better strategist and communications director, Trump’s speeches and press relations should improve as well.
“There’s no military solution [to North Korea’s nuclear threats], forget it. Until somebody solves the part of the equation that shows me that ten million people in Seoul don’t die in the first 30 minutes from conventional weapons, I don’t know what you’re talking about, there’s no military solution here, they got us.”
Bannon was fired cause he is the face of the white supremacists in the white house and after Trump’s unscripted remarks regarding Charlottesville and the universal backlash he received, getting rid of that bozo is a good publicity stunt to demonstrate that the prez is responsive to public opinion. As a reminder, Trump is too obsessed with himself to deeply care about any agenda, policy or issues - whether it’s neo-nazis & white supremacists, republicans, democrats, liberals, conservatives, wackjobs like Turd, or anything. He will fire anyone and do anything if there is a chance it will result in overall net approval again.
