I spent 2 months there after undergrad with my wife on honeymoon. It was the best time of my life! Now is high tourist season, but some of the best weather. If you’re into fresh local (cheap and healthy) fare, on the north side of the central catedral is a wonderful vegetarian restaurant, Planeta Vegetariano, where they serve an all-you-can-eat freshly-made vegetarian buffet at lunch and dinner for a pittance.
