Becoming a CBV

Hey all, I am registering for the CFA L1 Dec exam in the next month or so with the hopes of that helping my job search after I graduate this April. Another designation I have been looking at getting is the CBV. Is this something that, realistically, can be done concurrently with the CFA, my accounting knowledge is quite strong and I have been top of class in every accounting course I have taken throughout University, and to my understanding the courses draw on a lot of accounting concepts. If it’s not recommended to do immediately, what designation, CBV or CFA do you think would initially add the most value to my resume when looking for jobs in ER or more transactional based roles.

Do it after you earn the CFA. The CFA charter will give you some exemptions within the CBV program. Details are on the CBV website.
