Anyone here sit on the board of directors for a non-profit organization? Do you get to set the strategy of the org? What else do you do that is interesting?
I was on the board of a non-profit but when I switched jobs my new company had a financial relationship with the non-profit so I resigned to avoid any issues. My tenure lasted like 6 weeks and I didn’t make it to any meetings, but I got to golf for free once. So my answer would be you don’t get to set strategy but you do get to golf.
