Hi everyone, Feeling washed out? me too! With 30 days until the exam I figure that we need all the tips/assistance we can get - Aimee thanks for your poem, tough to memorise it all but I’ll give it a shot. Don’t know about others, but I recall the criteria for a suitable benchmark by reference to I U MARSO - I you and Marso - 3 people…sounds wacky but it works for me lol! I - investable U - unambiguous M - measurable A - appropriate R - reflective of current mkt beliefs S - specified in advance O - owned Good luck to all
it is SAMURAI
Dude, just use SAMURAI. “MARSO”? no offense, but…
for some reason i prentented i was in a conversation… “Hey U, I’M ARSO” I dont know why but this is the way i remembered it.
this has to be a joke, right? you didnt really take the only thing that actually has a good universally agreed on mnemonic and make a crappy one instead, right?
^haha
Can’t remember who came up with it last year, but a good one for the Prudence Traps is “Asscorp” …just leave off one S for savings.

If not, you’re an absolute retard. I believe the mnemonic is clearly stated in Schweser and in the CFAI books. How about “I need… Suma Air?” Which is an Italian guy in a swimming pool
cmon guys, no need to kill the OP for trying to add some value to the board.
^ Exactly. He/she was just trying to help, and its certainly better than threads whining about the weight of their CFAI books. If you don’t like the suggestion, don’t use it. Sheesh.

The whole point is that some us think that he/she is doing it on purpose. Think of it- it’s pretty much the ONLY list in which Schweser gives an explicit mnemonic then OP makes a thread with some totally obscure and meaningless mnemonic. Kinda like taking the Dupont breakdown of ROE and suggesting a memory tool by adding in a bunch of fractions that cancel each other out. Furthermore, it’s not a valid mnemonic since it’s missing one of the As!! Here’s another mnemonic (caveman pick up line): “I like u, SO I RAAM U”
Kakane posted that he/she was only using the CFAI books, so I think its highly likely that was a serious comment.
My problem is remembering how to spell SAMURAI during the exam.
