I dont know if you guys heard of this book, but a guy lent it to me at work, I was reading it on the subway and was laughing out lout the whole time, while people were staring at me. " I Hope they Serve Beer in Hell" by Tucker Max. This guy writes about stories of him and his buddies during Law School, he eventually quits his pursuit of being a lawyer and becomes a writer since he had too much funny shi* to talk about. Some of his classic stories from the book can be read online at the following link, check them out: http://www.tuckermax.com/stories.phtml
I thought the book was mildly amusing at times, but mostly stupid. I don’t know how much of it is truth and how much of it is fiction, but assuming he embellished a bit, the stories just weren’t clever or amusing enough to hold my attention. I thought “Alphabet of Manliness” was far, far funnier.
Its the book for you if you’re the type of guy who has Maxim and FHM mags on their bathroom floor.
One of my friends suggested that I write a tell-all book about my hedge fund experiences since it’s the in-thing to trash hedge funds in the media these days and I have a knack for making sarcastic comments on just about anything. I would actually consider it if I was guaranteed a steady long-term income stream as an author, but as of now I’m not ready to give up on this industry even though it is downright miserable at the moment.

Couldn’t the author be listed as “JohnThainsLimoDriver”
The book was pretty funny. At times I thought if I had read it when I was 18 I would have enjoyed it more because of the content. I heard there is a movie coming out.

I’d pay for your book
Me too - think JohnThainsLimoDriver should be voted the funniest poster on AF!!
Come on guys, you really think these stories are true? I’m sure some of the content of the story actually happened, but its pretty obvious these stories are a wild exageration of accurate events. Take a look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAbreeMofRg

You worked at an actual hedge fund? OMG!!! That’s amazing. Sign me up on the waiting list now.
I don’t know if they’re true, but I don’t really care. I met him once and he seemed like a nice enough guy and the stories are funny, what else do you need. The movie should be getting a distributor soon and has gotten good buzz.
I couldnt care less about the stories. It’s the remarks/comments he makes and those one liners…
“What a sh!tty school. I could’ve learned more from watching a Special Olympics spelling bee.” You gotta give him some admiration for that one.
