does any one can give an idea … what would be a good score Schweser Q bank practice ? i 'm doing few practice on Q back. I’m getting 60 to 70%. some one told me more it should be more than 80% to pass the the level 2.
My advise is not to dwell on the score but to focus on why you are getting some parts wrong.
Unlike the level 1 exam, the level 2 focuses more on understandability of concepts. i.e, you may be getting 80% in many of your practise questions, but if the CFAI choose to bring out 2-3 item sets on the 20% you don’t know, you are screwed!
i don’t think you can gauge it by how you’re doing n the QBank for level 2 (your status says L1 candidate). I’m scoring around 87 in the QBank and my range on practice tests is now 65 - 80.
I’m talking my level 2. Wow 87% on Q bank. awesome.
I say that, not to brag, but to show that it doesn’t quite translate…87 in QBank, 65 in practice test.
After taking 2 mocks I have understood few things how mocks can be of help and why recomended to take when no mock is even near to good as real thing 1) you understand why it is so important to read the question in full and carefully 2) you understand how the concepts can be put before as question without naming it straight 3) Learn to manage time. With few threads on mocks I have understood that no mock really mock the real exam so why waste time discussing.
I have a question to retakers, how does the CFAI EOCs represent the real thing?
Interesting. were the 3 exams that different in style and difficulty?
Last year I did the bsas am paper as well as schweser book 1, part of book 2, schweser live mock and cfai 2012 movk and in my opinion the bsas was the least representative of the actual exam of all of them. I didn’t do the pm paper though. Maybe it was better.
The cfai mock was definitely the most similar to the real thing but it was still quite a bit easier.
This thread just saved me $150 of buying the BSAS mock test.
This is a million dollar answer. Having taken the exam already - and having failed it - and not blaming anybody else but myself, I am glad there are no easy shortcuts.
If you want to see the real thing, the only way you are going to get close to it is by taking it. 2013 exam will probably differ hugely from 2012 exam - they know that more than half the candidates are taking it over. Best thing is to practice - so that you know the stuff. Don’t waste your money on prep providers. EOC are great.
CMLSML atleast we hsould do old mocks of cfa right ?
