I plan on doing 5-10 mock exams until the test date. Which ones are most representative of the actual exam?

dont reflect proper exam weights most of the time
they hardly reflect the changes each year in the curriculum e.g the pensions item sets this year haven’t been adapted to the new changes with IFRS etc. If they do make the change they basically just copy and paste the blue box example from the curriculum.
inconsistencies in calculations of things with curriculum

Trogulj, I have to disagree you regarding BSAS. I just purchased the BSAS Mock Exam, and all 10 subjects were weighted equally. That makes it impossible to use a mock exam.
I know I am only a level 2 candidate and have never seen the level 2 exam, but in terms of level 1, I definitely thought the Schweser exams were FAR MORE DIFFICULT than the actual exam. I don’t know if that will hold up for level 2, but I confidently say that the level 1 exam was no where near as difficult as the Schweser mocks
On Schweser mocks - I don’t really care if the weightings are identical (they can’t be anyway since L2 has ranges)…but I find it really hard to believe that the Schweser exams are that crappy…they have to be pretty difficult and I’m sure they do a good job at stressing the concepts. Thoughts?

Hey deeshen, I can’t talk about this year’s BSAS mock because I’m doing it in a few weeks but I did last year’s BSAS exam and it was very comparable to the real thing.
clip1989 - yes I found the same thing for Level 1, only averaged around 63 for my mock exams and passed with 70+ in everything on exam day. Level 2 on the other hand is a monster. The exam is totally different to schweser i can’t stress that enough.
CFAI have their own way of asking questions. Schweser don’t simulate this at all in my opinion - both lvl 1 and 2

what is BSAS mock exams? can you please share the mock papers and Elan guide.
@trogulj: do you consider the CFA official mock exam (eg the 2013 one) as very close to the real exam in terms of the difficulty (eg the Equity section)? I understood that the format is very close but it seems to me that the latest mock is too difficult but maybe I am just not well prepared. For level 1 it was really the case that the real thing was also much more easier than the CFA official mock. What is your view in terms of level 2?
Also looking for the CFAI Practice Exams from past years. I would appreciate if someone would email them to me, send me a PM for my address. Will exchange for electronic high five.
Mike4 prior to the real thing last year I did the CFA 2012 Mock and scored 75% and just didn’t pass the real thing. Take from that what you can.
I haven’t done the 2013 mock but when I do it (next Saturday) i’ll give you feedback.

That statement was made in hindsight after sitting the exam last year and reviewing that 2012 bsas paper.
the actual exam is not like any mock practice or schweser exam. I believe they are set by different people every year and changed style every year. I have taken this exam 3 times FYI
