I guess this is the best place to ask this question. To give you my background, I have an engineering degree and I failed CFA L1 once being in band 9.In Level 1 I have given around 400 hours. My query is Schweser sufficient for clearing CFA L2 ? In L1 I felt FSA, FI and Economics are areas where CFAI material is far better. Can you guys suggest me what topics should I read from CFAI in Level 2. My Plan is too read Scheweser once and then refer to CFAI in areas where I find I am weak.
I read the full CFA texts and schweser twice, also doing all the qbank and about 4 practice exams. Same strategy as level one. Got me top in every category in lvl I and a 77% using the 80/60/40 rule in lvl II.
I primarily focused on the Schweser notes, but did almost all end of chapter questions in the curriculum. Taking the CFAI practice tests also really helped to pinpoint my weaknesses. I recommenced working through qbank questions after each reading rather than waiting until the end of your preparation. I think its a good idea to devote 1.5 months to reviewing the material and taking practice exams. This might be overkill, but better than having to retake.
wrong forum, this is L3.
