Binge ends today

So, it’s been just about 3 weeks since we all took L2…Having been in lockdown mode like the rest of you, I needed some serious unwinding immediately following the exam. Anyways, in that time I’ve: -Rediscovered Modern Warfare 2 (gotten much better, with the help of some Turtle Beach headphones); -Rediscovered food (+10 lbs); -Rediscovered the outdoors (did you know that things happen outside, after work?) -Etc. Well, “the binge” is about over now…back to reality.

Why are you entering reality now when the results are still weeks away? Enjoy the summer!

Me too on all fronts. Tomorrow I pop an adderall and get back to the (GMAT) books.

@chickentikka, does it actually work?

for me definitely. I have an amazing attention span for things that I am really interested in, but a fairly weak one for things that do not. I have the tendency to start thinking about the things I am interested in. While the majority of the CFA material is interesting, not all of it is, and re-reading repeatedly as is necessary for much of it can be difficult for me. The drug generally allows me to focus for periods of about 4 solid hours after taking it. After that I usually need a break.

studying for something as material heavy as CFA with ADD (or ADHD?) is some feat. My hat is off to you sir.

^ Umm no, my bet is that this person doesn’t have ADD or ADHD. They’re using a drug that is used to treat these disorders in order to study harder and focus more.

^ you mean cheating? No…

Is this the olympics? Dont recall a urine test before the exam :slight_smile:

We all know where these Wall Street Adderall kids end up eventually…

I’ve dropped 15 pounds, no joke, caught up with 4 good friends I’d lost touch with. Finished 4 books, non - finance, and finally gotten back into somewhat decent running shape. Of course this is all going to crap as soon as I find out whether I’m taking Level II again, or Level III. Either way it’s fun not having the CFA.

15 pounds thats well done. I still haven’t quite managed to get on a reduction diet but I’ve been keeping my calories at maintenance. This weekend is my birthday, after that, I’m going to go on an austerity plan like Germans circa 1942 would have chosen for Greece. I have loved, loved, loved, loved reading things un-finance related.
