Hi - anyone using Bloomberg? I am relying on BB plus course book - but mainly BB. Covered 25% of theory so far - 90% of qant and econmics.
I know it is a new and relativly untried method of learning. I like that it asks a bucket load of questions as you go along and even goes back randomly to tst you on things you completed weeks ago. l also like the fact it jumps around in topic areas- so you don’t start on ethics.
Any other experiences/tips?
I used it for the December exam and I was quite pleased with it. I liked the way that it was set up like you had a teacher there with you to help understand a topic target than trying to cram concepts. The customer service was not good at all though. The printable materials are very hard to read and imo are effectively useless. I would definitely use then again if they had a level 2 module. Good luck.
I’ve just signed up for Bloomberg for the June 2017 exam. I’m still in my trial period, but I intend to stick with the program because I love the format. At first I was very apprehensive because the written materials aren’t as substantial as the more popular programs, but then I realized how little I actually retain from reading. Bloomberg’s question-based format is a good fit for me, personally.
I’d also like to point out that their customer service is top-notch. They even replied to questions I had about the program over the Labor Day weekend.
I’d love to hear from more people who may have used the program for the June 2016 exam. The format is just so addictive for me, I look forward to working through problems every evening.
