Bond search!

Our bloomberg terminal is down. I need to find a good online source to find dollar denominated non-soverign bonds. I tried FINRA and Investinginbonds.com Fruitless. Any other sources that might yield me the results I need? (pun intended)

What kind of dollars?

USD My bad. We have nothing in inventory, this is incredible. I just called the FI desk and for my parameters, which are tight but not insane, we have nothing at all.

capiq

pay your bills! lol

What kind of bonds? Corp? muni? agency?

Bloomberg is back, able to get the info. Thanks brahs.

(pun intended) A good way to stop this issue from arising again would be to get your Bloomberg emails forwarded to your Outlook. Assuming you’re copied on the runs from your sales coverage, you’ll have plenty of bonds to choose from (about 1500 emails a day, if memory serves).

my recommendation was indeed very helpful for those who will take it - don’t use capiq for fixed income data search.

Not for prices - agreed. So let me be explicit – what SHOULD people use without b/berg? That is the question @ hand.

i dont know! and i’d like to find out as well. but refuting a bad suggestion (in my opinion) can be just as helpful as offering advice sometimes. i just dont trust capiq for fixed income data because of bad experiences with it. what’s an alternative to bloomberg remains an open question i guess

This raises a good debate. Does B’berg have a monopoly? If so, why hasn’t the EU tightened the constraints on it?
