I don’t know. I know we are “supposed to” like this watch because it’s a classic, but it doesn’t really do it for me. Rectangle face is an inefficient design, and it’s not like the reversing face has any application today, other than to make the watch thicker. JLC, has other, better watches, in my opinion.

This is not the first time I’ve heard this argument. The world is pretty much split on this watch - some love the classic stylings of a bygone age, others just dont’ see a spot for it in their collection. Its no slight to anyone, just wear what you like, even if it’s a Timex.
Personally I like the rectangular face for the fact that it’s not very common and I like old/classic things. It’s not the most efficient way of telling time but it definitely has an air of gaelic “ne give pas un fuck”. The watch is by all means completely unnecessary, unversatile, inefficient, sub optimal and completely bougie (some girls kept saying that to me on tinder dates so I’m going practice using it). It revels in bougie-ness. I may even get a soppy engraving on the metal side, who knows. Bottom line is it’s more of an art piece than a watch without going into the dangerous territory that is Franck Mueller. It’s an ultimate expression of one’s human side that is not governed by technology or efficiency, a celebration of something intangible that reminds us of our human spirit and why not everything we make needs to have a raison d’etre.

Hmmmm, I’ll probably buy a multi-family, possibly with commercial on the bottom.
I am in desperate need of a vacation, but I don’t think anything major is in the cards during the first half of this year. Work is intense (building a business) and have an 18 month old which makes it rough to travel internationally. Germany is a place I always wanted to go, very jealous.
Prague is great, but I would honestly prefer Budapest (especially if single). It is not so overrun with tourists but has a very cool vibe and tons of history. True, more of it was destroyed in WW2, but the benefit is that they just set up bars/clubs in ruins of buildings. Also, it is warmer.
^ looked into budapest & timing wise there were some issues as i wanted a few more days - its on the radar but wouldnt work out fot this trip. Maybe ill lump it in with munich on my next trip as ive heard awesome things from many people. Only goin to be in prague for a day - planning on going to the areas surrounding it and doing some hiking
