Book 6 Scores

1AM 58 1PM 75 This ride is going to be bumpy and turbulent over the next 12 days.

thanks for the moral support. signing off to play some poker, i spent sat 10 hrs and today just about 4. on my shortcomings hoping to make them my strong suit for the test… im really counting on this forum, last year i did it on my own, well not really. i was one of the hundreds of lurkers on this site but this time around you guys have really rocked. Also what’s up with plyon?.. until tomm.

Free CFAI practice exam: 70 1PM 75 2AM 80 I hope to do 1-2 more Schweser tests, another CFAI practice exam, then both 3 hour CFAI mock exams. This is all dependant on me getting a week off of work, which may not happen now that they laid off tons of people last week.

Well I just capped off the book 6 exam 2 pm with another 65, to match my 65 on the first part. Confidence? All gone. I missed 9 of the last 11 questions on the exam. FAIL. This is my official sign off from Analystforum.com for 3 days. I will be back smarter, with more to contribute to this forum.

just c’mon back eventually- we have to do the last week of the test cram-down ho-down like we did last year. i have 0 days off from work before the test… oh wait i took the friday before test day off, but whatever. we will conquer this. good luck with your review!!! i’ve been tackling quant/derivs tonight and it’s been a bit of a bloodbath here too.

Volume 1: 1am: 33.33% 3pm:35.00% I took the advice that there should be some distractions around while taking the test. So I invited my grandma’s friend to visit her and they were chatting and watching TV when I wrote the test on the dinner table in the kitchen. I finished the exams after they finished the cooking and then we had dinner together.

Volume 1 2 am = 60%

vol 1 : 3 am: 80% -plateaued at 80. vol 2 1 pm: 75% -followed by splitting headache

Good score Dsylexic considering 3 AM is lot tougher.

thanks kabhii.i did benefit from the suggestion earlier on this thread to check the 3am schweser errata (real estate etc) before starting,so i didnt have to scratch my head there.

so far… 1 AM: 70% 1 PM: 72% 2 AM: 75% Do you guys feel that you really have to go through each question to get the answer? I’m feeling that often I’m not 100% sure of the answer… and I just have to give it my best answer… This uncertainty is killing me…

natty - I wish I was scoring like you. Just keep doing what your doing and help me out with FSA!

ok, first one down… 1 AM…75…I caught a few breaks, but also made some dumb mistakes, like using cost of capital instead of required return for DDM, that cost me two questions, so it all equaled out, (at least lets hope)

I feel you… yesterday I realized I hadn’t look at FSA for a few weeks. Are you using Schweser? If so, I would definitely recommend you do the Session Exams at the end of the Curriculum online… some of them are hard, but will really get you to grasp the material…

1 am 72 1 pm 62 2 am 74 2 pm 77 3 am 74

1AM 72 1PM 73

FCK FCK FCK FCK FCK Just scored 53% on the 2am. God damn I really think I get the concepts of most of the curriculum and then I’m in doubt for almost EVERY question. I hate this. Really wanted to hit the 60s and now I’m falling back. Sux BIG time.

1Am 76 1PM 73 As I went through 1PM i felt like I was going to make a 40%. I guess I still need a lot of work. It was funny, pension accounting is by far my worst area, and I got all 6 of those right!!! I feel like it will come down to a lot of luck on exam day… Are they going to give me a lot of FI and Equity(good) or FSA, ethics and Corp Fin (bad)

1am 77 1pm 67 2am 80 2pm 83 3am 82 3pm 78 Book 6 avg: 77.83 Just did 3pm today and thought I was going to score a lot worse. There were a handful of questions that I had no idea on. I guess it’s time to move on to the CFAI mock’s and then book 7.

Way to go Ozzy.
