Well it’s more of a thriller versus and investment book… David Einhorn, Fooling some of the People all of the Time. Haven’t come across a short-seller book per se.

He is also an value investor and interesting guy I read all his books EXCEPT this

Foreword by Joel Greenblatt. The book is not going to tell you how to select shorts. It’s more about telling a story of corruption and greed - and how short sellers are perceived.

Just read the description on Amazon… woo!! Seems an interesting read Thanks Valueaddict ANYONE ON shortselling ?

im confused…

I’ll save you some time. 1. variant perception from the market that is correct 2. near-term catalyst (e.g., debt covenant violation, dividend cut, equity offering) 3. ridiculous valuation, even when using a required rate of return signficantly below that of the market. 4. CATALYST, CATALYST, CATALYST

Alexander Elder wrote “Sell and Sell Short.” Elder uses Technical Analysis, so if you’re looking for short selling from a fundamental analysis perspective, it won’t help all that much. Elder is not specifically against fundamental investing, but he maintains that you should choose one or the other, because it is just too difficult to do both well. One of the better points that Elder makes is that risk control and money management are really much more important than stock selection in determining long term performance. It’s not that stock selection is unimportant, it’s just that risk control and money management are a lot more important than most traders realize. His position sizing rules can be applied under either a fundamental or a technical strategy.

supersunny, What’s your email? I’ll send you a few that might be what you’re looking for.
