Big breakfast or not? I think the giant knot in my stomach may prevent me from eating much. Does anyone know the scientific approach to what and how much to eat before such an exam for better performance and or concentration and while we are at it how about the night before?
orange juice, bagel, banana
I like that idea. Light and balanced.
Banana’s are like straight sugar and so are white bagels. May as well eat cookies.
I am going to eat a whole wheat bagel.
Egg and cheese sandwich and some OJ.
def complex carbs (preferably fiber to keep you full for a while), dont load up on caffeine either because you’ll crash a couple of hours into the exam. Remember to stay hydrated thats important for your brain, and avoid heavy greasy food as well as simple carbs.
my normal breakfast 1 cup cottage cheese 0.5 cup oatmeal 1 banana couple of chocolate chips mix it well
Sugar (glucose) is necessary for proper brain function. I suggest complex carbs with some simple sugars mixed in. Houston’s breakfast is perfect. I’ll have a coffee myself for the little morning kick and a bagel. Of course, I’ll have to deal with my damn nervous stomach… For lunch pizza did the trick last year - hard to go wrong - more carbs. Good thing testing center is 10 minute walk from my apt. I’ll also hit a sugar free (to prevent jitters) energy drink like the small Red Bull or Five Hour Energy. I was dragging big time second half of L1. Won’t make it through this one without.
Mcdonalds finest.
Egg McMuffin?? McGriddle? So many ways to go here…
powerbar and coffee. yeah yeah. powerbars are like eating cookies is like snorting sugar… whatever, it’s quick and i won’t be hungry for a few hours. trying to pass a test, not a physical.
or the new chicken on biscuit… mmm. you may fall asleep by the second vignette though.

How true - I’m detoxing from all the energy drinks AFTER this damn trip through hell. Don’t know why everyone is maintaining the holier than thou routine…
That chicken biscuit is SOOOOO good.
Meatnormous omelet if there is a Burger King nearby (if they still have it).
Complex carbs and protein, not too much total calories so you dont get an insulin rush and drop your blood sugar, little caffeine cant hurt
Nibs - I’m all about breakfast… that just sounds nasty. Like a film you would find in Greenwich Village. (I was going to type come across - but I revised… damn, typed it anyways.)
i have to admit that chicken biscuit IS good… yeah, i tried it!! yeah fast food! but even i’m afraid of that meatnormous omelet. that thing takes like 14 eggs and 2 pigs to make.
Haha, no the meatnormous thing sounds gross, but the name is hilarious. The chick minis from chick fil a are the real deal.
