Brinson Model

Posted this question on the Level 3 forum, but not sure if anyone knew. But is the Brinson Model what they teach in the CFA cirriculum? I don’t remember the books referencing the Brinson model anywhere.

Brinson appears in L3 as one of several attribution models. It is the model that they use go into the most detail, and it is simple enough that they will expect you to be able to perform the calculations. However, there are other attribution models, and the L3 exam may expect you to interpret the outputs of those models to make portfolio decisions. When I took the exam, there was something like that using a Fixed Income attribution model.
