Calculate Median with TI BAII Plus?

Hi fellow candidates,

Is there a way to calculate the median on the TI BAII Plus calculator? I know that the Stats worksheet enables me to calculate a bunch of results, but I don’t think that the median is one of them. I’m asking because I currently find the median by sorting the numbers in the question first, and then figuring out the median. Is there an easier way to do this?

I searched the web for a TI BAII solution and I don’t think there is one – wanted to check if someone on the forum knowsof a way.

No. There is no easier way to do this.

If you have to calculate the median on the exam, I will be very, very surprised. And if you do, then they’ll probably give you less than 10 numbers. It will be one of the “gimme” questions.

Don’t spend your time worrying about this piddly stuff. Learn your accounting. That’s what you need to focus on.
