Hey All, Here is a somewhat valid concern. How long is the average battery life on a TI BA II Plus? If the battery level is low, will there be any indication? (e.g. faint display) I changed the battery once prior to the Dec. 2007 exam, and it isn’t easy as you have to snap it open…i’m worried i might break it hahaha Anyway, appreciate your views…don’t want to change the battery unnecessarily
The battery lasts approximately 308.6 hours. I stayed up a little over 12 days testing this and the calculator died. I stayed up another 12 days and it died just under 13 days. I was calculating the whole time to ensure proper testing scenarios. The third time was just in between 12 and 13 days, sealing my hypothesis.
That’s why you bring two calculators into the exam (just in case one dies).

One thing though, was the dying discrete? or continuous? 1-> 0 event or a 1… 0.6969…0.3142…0 So, around the 306th hour, was the display as clear as it was in the 1st hour ? Good to have someone with a sense of humor around…or such scientific curiousity haha
