I can’t register it says “You are already registered for the CFA Program. Go to your candidate resources to prepare for the exam.” I think if you don’t see this it may mean you failed.
That’s a slightly offensive assertion. I was able to register (although that has since changed), and I’ve never scored below the 90th percentile on a standardized test, of which I’ve taken many. Of course I could always fail and I’m sure many will do better than me, but I don’t know about “>>>>”. I’m not convinced that this is a tell regardless
As others have mentioned before, many people take the exam each year and arguably the folks who actively participate on this forum probably skew toward the over-prepared end of the spectrum, so difficult to say that this group is representative of the broader population of CFA candidates.
Totally agree, those who often post comments here are “good student”, I believe many people don’t even know there is a forum called AnalystForum. So majority of people on this forum are not representative for the total sample.
Some candidates even don’t know that they should use their own calculator on the exam. I met a guy before the exam who asked me where they give us calculators for the exam ))
A woman from my company who sat for a December L1 exam asked me last year that when I started studying for L1. This was in October. I told her that I started in November. She was like “oh great, I still got one month left before I need to start studying”. You should have seen her face when I told her that I sat for L1 in June, so I started studying 7-8 months before the exam.
It amazes me that given the notorious reputation of the CFA program, there’s still so many people who sign up but have absolutely no clue of what the program actually means and requires.
