I wonder if the Big4 will soon follow suit as well as McKinsey, BCG and Bain
President Trump says he will issue an executive order next week to end the federal governmentâs war on plastic straws.
Thank you, Mr President. The paper ones donât work.
President Trump calling Trudeau the governor of the great state of Canada is actually fairly mild.
Patrick J Buchanan who served Presidents Nixon, Ford, and Reagan, and himself sought the presidency in 1992, 1996, and 2000, referred to far-left Canada as `Soviet Canuckistanâ
If Canada is annexed, then the Dems will forever be the biggest party. Unless the Canadians are not given voting rights!
It should be the Canada territory, not a state. That way, no voting rights.
I believe the population is roughly the same size as California, so huge in the electoral college (presidency) and the House.
This just keeps getting better and better.
Elon Musk pondered out loud on X about letting (former congessman) Dr Ron Paul audit the Fed.
Dr Ron Paul has written a book entitled End The Fed,' served on President Reagan's Gold Commission (which looked into returning to a gold-based currency, Dr Ron Paul was an author of
Minority Report: The Case For Goldâ as a result), and sought the GOP presidential nomination in 2012 when Romney got the nod. Dr Ron Paulâs platform in 2012 was abolish the Fed, and abolish income tax and replace it with nothing.
There are some amazing videos out there of Dr Ron Paul shredding Bernanke (and earlier Greenspan) and House hearings.
Senator Mike Lee (R, UT) upped the ante by suggesting Dr Ron Paul be made Fed Chair instead.
That would be amazing!
The onion in the ointment is it seems to be impossible to get a non-Keynesian confirmed by the Senate, In his first term, President Trump tried to nominate a number of excellent candidates for the Fed board, including Herman Cain, who had also sought the GOP nomination in 2012 and who had been a regional Fed Chair (Kansas City). Turtle who was running the Senate at the time told President Trump that he didnât have the votes to confirm them so wouldnât put them forward.
Dr Ron Paulâs son, Dr Rand Paul, is currently a Senator (R, KY)
Oh no, next universities will close down the safe space rooms where the coddled generation could cope with the overwhelming stress, anxiety, or challenging discussions about the Bad Orange Man.
Another un-renaming.
Biden changed the name of Fort Bragg in NC to Fort Liberty. It is now Fort Bragg again, sort of.
It was originally named after Confederate Gen. Braxton Bragg, and founded in 1918, long after the war between states.
Theyâve found another Bragg, Pfc. Roland L. Bragg, a World War II soldier who earned the Silver Star during the Battle of the Bulge in WWII.
So now itâs named after the new Bragg not the Confederate General
Towards the end of the article you linked, it mentions New York City Mayor Eric Adams (a black Democrat). He may be an example of lawfare.
Some of the states suffering from illegal immigration under Biden tried bussing some of those illegals to blue states like NY to share the burden. Especially places that had proudly proclaimed themselves a sanctuary city/state. A highlight was planeloads of illegals being flown to Marthaâs Vineyard. NY responded by trying to bus some of the new arrivals on to Canada.
Mayor Adams only attracted the attention of Bidenâs Justice Department when NYC began to buckle under the weight of the newly arrived illegals and he started sounding off on maybe we should do something about the southern border. Then and only then was he targeted by the Biden administration. I donât know if he did what they accused him of, but he was only targeted once he criticized the Biden administration. None of that was mentioned in the BBC article of course.
And parenthetically, President Trump has just cost the BBC an enormous amount of money as they were one of the recipients of the USAID slush fund that Muskâs DOGE uncovered
Wasnât it just subscriptions and just standard practice?
I doubt if it was a coincidence that many of the organizations that received the money have been harsh critics of Trump.
Edit: added:
Musk explained: "We do find it sort of rather odd that there are quite a few people in bureaucracy
who have ostensibly a salary of a few hundred thousand dollars but somehow managed
to accrue tens of millions of dollars in net worth while they are in that position,
which is what happened at USAID.
"We are just curious as to where it came from. Maybe it was very good investing?
In which case we should take their investment advice perhaps.
But there seems to be mysteriously they get wealthy.
We do not know why. Where does it come from?
âI think the reality is they are getting wealthy at taxpayers expense. Thatâs the honest truth of it.â
Samantha Power (an Irishwoman who was Obamaâs Ambassador to the UN and Bidenâs head of USAID) is worth $30M
Thank you Bad Orange Man for bringing some sanity to this madness!
European leadership in this conflict has been appalling. How is it possible that grown men agree that âwe wont negotiate with Putin and wonât have any lines of communication openâ. Whatâs the end game there? Now itâs all US calling the shots in the EUâs backyard AND the EU leaders are whining and crying how the deal is being struck above their heads. Crazy â â â â .
thatâs amazing. The Holy Land and Ukraine both sorted out in his first month back.
All it took was an adult in the room.
If there were any justice in this world, President Trump would have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize many times over.
Added: at the same time President Trump has secured the release of American Marc Fogel who is described as a schoolteacher sentenced to 14 years in a Russian prison for drug possession. Not sure why he wasnât part of the deal during the Biden administration when Biden traded the Lord of War (an arms dealer, there was a Nicholas Cage movie about him) for a lesbian basketball player who got arrested taking drugs into Russia.
Biden left him to rot in a Russian jail, Trump brought him home.
Steve Witkoff, who is the US Special Envoy to the Middle East, flew back to the US with him.
welcome home
On the other side of the deal is Russian cyber criminal Alexander Vinnik, described as guilty of conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Separately, Belarus has released 3 Americans in exchange for nothing.
Orange is the New Black
Iâm guessing Justin Trudeau isnât part of that 42%
Meanwhile, Worcester MA City Council Votes To Become âTransgender Sanctuary Cityâ
Many years ago I ran in a track meet at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester
What a stable and wholesome looking bunch in that video.
The anti-vaxxer is now the Health and Human Services Secretary!
I was surprised at the vote (52-48 with no Dems for and only one Rep (McConnell) against)
McConnell is a polio survivor. When he was a kid, his mom threw him in the family car and drove across several states to a March Of Dimes (polio charity) facility which saved his life.
I was surprised that Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski on the Republican side voted for him.
And until a few short months ago, he was a leading light in the Democrat Party and heir to the Kennedy mantle, so Iâm surprised that not one of his erstwhile friends on the left voted for him.
I would have thought Bernie Sanders for example would support an attack on Big Pharma

In Kennedyâs own words
People who advocate for safer vaccines should not be marginalized or denounced as anti-vaccine.
I am pro-vaccine. I had all six of my children vaccinated.
I believe that vaccines have saved the lives of hundreds of millions of humans
over the past century and that broad vaccine coverage is critical to public health.
But I want our vaccines to be as safe as possible.
Thereâs a moral dilemma known as the Trolley Problem.
An out-of-control tram is heading for a group of people and a whole bunch of them will be killed.
If you throw a switch, you can put the tram on another track where it will kill far fewer people.
Do you pull the switch?
I liken vaccines to the Trolley Problem. They save a whole bunch of lives but sometimes there is collateral damage. That collateral damage may be extremely rare, but it is not non-existent.
In the US, I believe you cannot sue vaccine manufacturers, and instead there is the
National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program
which is financed by a 75 cent levy on purchases of covered vaccine.
The payout rate seems to be 1.2 claims per million doses. Extremely rare but not non-existent.
Trump wants denuclearization talks with Russia and China, hopes for defense spending cuts
Good.
The Cold War ended 3 decades ago.
Meanwhile DOGE has discovered Iron Mountain
Iron Mountain was made famous by The Report from Iron Mountain, a supposed US Government report from 1967 which is likely (but not conclusively) satire. The premise was that over the years, war has been used to ensure the compliance of the populace. The Report supposedly sought a suitable substitute for war. A new enemy must be found that threatens the entire world, and the prospects of being overcome by that enemy must be just as terrifying as war itself.
The leading candidate was climate change (ok, environmental pollution).
