Singapore stocks Jan 1: SGD300,000 Dec 31: SGD360,000 Malaysia stocks Jan 1: SGD300,000 Dec 31: SGD410,000 exchange rate Jan 1: SGD0.54/RM1 Dec31: SGD0.49/RM1 SGX Jan 1: 100 Dec 31: 123 KLSE Jan1: 100 Dec 31: 129 What is the contribution of security selection?
I worked on it and the RM depreciation in nominal = 4.43%
Return for a singaporean investor invest in Malay stock is 36.7-4.43=32.7% ( capital gain)
Since they don’t provide dividend or risk free rate, I think we can’t calculate dividend yield. Continous yield if any resulted from capital gain is 27.96%
Where did u get this from?
