Career Advice seeking

Hi,guys, just wondering if someone here can help me with the career down the road. I got both CFA and FRM but don’t see good opportunities in the current firm(non-financial industry company). I am in Toronto,Canada. Can someone provide me with any advice on how to get back to financial industry? If you happen to know someone (i.e. headhunter or vacant positions in Bay street, etc), would you please share with me that information as well? Greatly appreciate it.

Need to post your resume, too.

CFA and FRM will not get you into the industry. Try going back to school or hitting up ur network

YOU DONT NEED TO POST THIS IN MULTIPLE BOARDS YOU F UCKING IDIOT

Why don’t you contact an agency or go to the cfa society and actually talk to some people? I’m assuming you have some social skills, and if not, better work on them if you want to be in this industry!

Could you post an e-mail address in the signature field on your profile, FRMer?

Thanks for your advice especially that SuperiorReturn guy,I can see how quickly you are switching your face. I would call posting in more than 3 places would be qualified as “multiple posting”.

what exactly do you do?

Don’t fall for that silly trick, FRMer, and start discussing ‘multiple posting’… Anyway, since you’re a FRM charterholder, and in Canada (Toronto) you might want to check this link out. This company has been shipping FRM-people over from across the pond (Europe), and to the casual bystander that could seem a bit unnecessary if there are already skilled people like you living right on site (who are also fluent in English) and who already have a great deal of the necessary competence (FRM & CFA). I’d presume you’d be most interested in what they in this paper refer to as the “60/40 split” and those names listed as “a solid foundation” (use LinkedIn to find out more): http://www.simcorp.com/Renderers/ShowMedia.ashx?i=MediaArchive:/Publications/Presentations/Capital%20Market%20Day%2027%20May%202009/4_SimCorp%20North%20America.pdf
