CAREER: investment or re/insurance?

Hi, I’m a risk analyst/consultant at a catastrophe risk modeling firm, primarily serving the reinsurance, insurance, and insurance-linked security industries. I highly enjoy quantitative risk analysis and am looking for the next career move that would quickly lead to a 6-digit income (assuming this would only be possible via large bonuses). I am exploring the idea of taking the CFA, FRM, or PRM exams because I heard that within the investment industry, it is common for a junior or intermediate-level risk analyst to receive large bonuses (e.g. over 100% of base salary). Can anyone confirm that investment risk analysts do typically receive large bonuses? And does anyone know what the bonuses are like at insurance, reinsurance, and hedge fund (investing in cat bonds) companies? Thanks!
