Just heard back that my professional experience has been certified- so officially a certified FRM- pretty quick given that I submitted my experience history just a week and a half ago!

Did anyone else get approved. I submitted on Dec 31st. Still waiting.

Nothing yet Alcfa. I had submitted mine on 2nd January so basically around the same time as you. I’ve heard 4 weeks being the average time so I’ll give GARP another 10 days before I email them to check the status.

I believe approximately 2000 people passed Part II in Nov. 2012 so you could imagine a slightly higher number, let’s say 2500, to have passed in Nov. 2013. Even if all of these people apply for Work Experience verification, I can’t imagine how it takes them up to 8 weeks.

Here are some preliminary numbers I put together

  • Total number of people that need work experience verified (N) = 2,500

  • Amount of time it takes one person to verify one person’s work experience = 30 minutes

  • Number of people whose work experience can be verified by one person in one day (10 hour work day) = 20

  • Amount of time it would take one person to verify 2500 work experiences = 2,500/20 = 125 days

  • Amount of time it would take a team of five people to verify 2500 work experiences = 2500/20/5 = 25 days

So realistically, a team of five at GARP could be shooting out 100 work experience approvals/rejections a day but I doubt they are that efficient.

Me too. It’s been over the four week period they say is the average. I emailed Member Services a few days ago but haven’t heard back from them.

I guess there is nothing more to do than wait…

I got mine this morning as well. It seems like they send them out in waves. It took six weeks but better late than never!

Congrats to those who heard back from GARP. I submitted my CV on Jan 8th and still waiting. It’s been already 6 weeks. Wondering when it will come out finally!
