How does one verify if someone is in the CFA. How do I verify if a potential employee is an actual charterholder (or how does someone verify that I am)?
I know you can look up on CFAI website. I’m a member though, not sure if you have to be a member or not to look up.
If you’re lying about your charter, you will get caught at some point. Don’t do it.

Yes, you have to be a member to log in the membership diretory. The funny think about that directory is that often times you need to put in both the first name and last name to find someone. They are case sensitive too.
I’m quite certain you can call them and they will tell you, too.
Also, the directory i cap sensitive, which makes no sense.
We can have comp_sci_kid fix that search engine.
Directory bites…used to be able to search by Society, no longer, plus search function is full of issues, not very reliable…overall below par for CFAI IMO…
