CFA Exam easier than Schweser?

Does anyone else find the CFA samples easier than Schweser? FAR less computation driven, much clearer and much more concept oriented?

much clearer, yes. less computational, sometimes- what the samples give you is pretty realistic… maybe about 1/2 calcs, 1/2 theoretical. easier? i don’t know. i think a lot depends what you study with. my guess is for those who studying only using schweser, they’ll do better on schweser tests than the CFAI tests. last year i was pretty much all schweser and this was true for me. this year i’ve done a bunch of end of chapter cfai q’s and i think i maybe get their lingo or feel their tricks coming better. my scores so far on the samples are around the same as my schweser tests. yours way higher cfai?

Focus on the concept type questions. IMO, they are harder to get and guess right than quantitative questions.

Schweser exams make you “Schweser Ready”. They have tooo many calculations, you need to sit with the calculator in one hand. CFAI exam are all conceptual and as elita said - it’s very difficult to guess them right. So a 80% in Schwser could translate to a 55% in CFAI. The real deal is 50-50 concepts and minor calculations.

i dont know abt CFA sample …but in level 1 i found real exams were easier than schweser exams
