I’m a 30 year old guy from Sweden, living in Hong Kong the past 2 years. Studied a Msc in applied physics and electronics back in Sweden.
I’m not really looking for a regular study group, meeting 3 times a week to just study. Rather I’m looking for meeting people in the same situation, who also do Level 3, who have time to meet up (ie no kids, not 12h+ working days). Main focus would still be meet up, study and discuss topics (we need to pass Lvl 3, not just have fun). But also with the mindset to make new friends and meet new people, which could mean to go out and have a beer, go for a hike, you get the picture.
Let me know if there any like-minded out there who are interested in meeting up and hopefully making new friends!
How often would you be interested in meeting up? Personally I don’t need to meet up to sit and read together, rather discuss topics etc when we have come a bit down the road…
Hey guys i’d love to join the study group native hong kong girl, finance background, first time taking L3, working hours a bit long but shd be able to meet
Well I’ve been lazy, haven’t been able to study as much as I’ve wanted. I guess it will be hard to synch a group of people, we will be reading different sections of the material at different speed etc.
How often would you be interested to meet?
What type of meeting, just sitting together and reading? Questioning each other on different topics? Going for a hike and just be moral support?
When and where would you like to meet? My office has quite a lot of meeting rooms available, I think we could meet up there, its in Central, Jardine House. Otherwise I have a decently large flat in Mid-Levels where we could hang out.
To answer my own questions:
1-2 times per week
A mix of doing non CFA stuff and sitting down and having a full study day 6-8 hours, reading, questioning each other, ordering take-away, brining you back to the student days
Studying 1 day per week after work, and one time in the weekend. I listed some options above, please come with other suggestions.
