how did you guys do?i got a 51% and i am freaking out… Also is that derivatives/Swap scenario like what will be on the test? Those scientists better check their hypotenuses, dude!
Schweser Mock was a beast, its by far the hardest test ive taken. Dont get down keep at it.
I did about the same. If you couldn’t value a swap pre-maturity you were already - 3 on those derivatives Q’s The FSA Q’s absolutely killed me (got 3 out of 12), I’ve spent at least 50 hours studying FSA and I would’ve done better than that if I just penciled in “A” for every question. Some of those vignettes were 2-3 pages, while the EOC questions were much more concise and easier to immediately find what data you needed. Fixed Income killed me too, I fell like I know the material pretty well, I thought the non-calculation questions were incredibly trivial. If you fix your worst 2 item sets, you can probably bump that up to the mid 60’s. Then maybe pick up an extra point on the other item sets and in passing range.
thanks friend. do you mean the Schweser mock that you took on a saturday somewhere? i took it in naples and thought that was crazy tough. i think i got a 62 on both sections. did you get about that score?
yeah, i know, you do all of this studying and putting B on every answer for derivatives would have gotten you 5 out of 6 for the AM.
yea the live schweser. I misread the post, didnt realize you were talking about the CFA. But yea the live schweser was hard. I got i think a 78. The AM test for Book 2 in schweser is also real tough. GIve that a try, but dont be discouraged. The avg was a 58 on the website.
also, not theres an error on the swap question. THey mnixed up their days and rates, which made it VERY confusing.
