hey Lola, I was thinking of taking the BSAS’06 sometime next week, but got a little discouraged after taking CFAI '06 sample 'coz lot of the econ stuff was outdated. Would you recommend taking the BSAS’06 or should I take 1 book 7 instead.
there were ~10 questions in each session that were outdated. Not as bad as I thought. I still think it’s better to take BSAS 2006 than book 7. how are your book 6 scores, delhi?
I was comfortable with my book 6 scores till the time I saw that June thread. My scores so far have been Book6 1AM: 73% 1PM: 65% 2AM: 73% 2PM: 74% 3AM: 76% 3PM: 75% 2006 CFAI sample exams Version1: 80% Version2: 78% Version3: 78% Version4: 85% Version5: 79% Sitting for 3 hours at a strech is not working for me…after 1-1.5 hour, I start dreaming about the marlboro man.
You don’t have anything to worry about.
Yep, if I was a betting man (I am) I’d be giving pretty decent odds and betting on delhirocks to pass. What’s this thing about dreaming about the marlboro man though?
I took 5 CFAI, averaged around 80%. I could take more practice exams but I don’t see real benefit of that at this point. I’m going to review all concepts using the list from Stalla workshop that Dimes posted on AF and Secret Sauce with special focus on my weak areas (Economics, FSA) until the middle of next week, maybe take a 120 question Qbank test this Wed, then review GIPS and Ethics on Wed and Thur of next week and take a day off studying on Friday.
maratikus you are in good shape. If I were you I would go straight to the source to review ethics and GIPS. I have mentioned before that I saw SEVERAL questions on the actual exam that were basically copies of examples in the CFAI text.
And I would also give very impressive odds on maratikus passing. Wanna hedge your risk maratikus? I’ll give 6:1 and bet on your passing. I would even bet at decent odds on the straight >70.
mwvt9, thanks for suggesting reviewing CFAI GIPS and Ethics material. I will follow your suggestion! Joey, I appreciate your confidence in my results. However, I don’t see a point in hedging my risk. I’m going all in
Good job.
Yeah it didn’t come out right…the emphasis is more on Marlboro, than on the man. Not that there is anything wrong with it. ---- JoeyDVivre Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yep, if I was a betting man (I am) I’d be giving > pretty decent odds and betting on delhirocks to > pass. How does anyone have access to CFAI 2006 samples?
Dinesh, Why would this post make you quit? He scored really well on his practice exams and he passed, like many other people did last year. In addition, there were a few people who performed poorly on some of their earlier practice tests but still did pass the exam. YMicheal, McPass, for example… Don’t give up now man. dinesh.sundrani Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I just read this by mr plyon, and have decided not > to sit for the exam this Dec 07. Is 2007 CFAI exams much different form 2006 CFAI?

Any technical analyst/chartists betting where my advance-decline ratio will lead me to? (I waste more time these days lingering around doing nothing (DOWNTICK) than the UPTICK’s I had ovserved in my 300-hr-moving-average point-and-stick chart before) - Dinesh S
I won’t give any odds, but bringing yourself down / burning out won’t help you any. You only have two weeks left, you’ve already run 95% of a marathon why not keep your chin up and finish strong, pass or fail?
dinesh, i’ve read a ton of posts on AF (and even knew a little bit to answer a couple) and all indications are that you are gonna do well on this exam. i’m feeling burned out myself and my girlfriend hates my guts right now. charge on these next few weeks and it’ll all work out fine.
Thanks culley and xavier1, for keeping me in the right spirit. It’s more than a marathon I feel (probably ‘swimming the english channel’ ???) … and expert tell that it only gets worse at L2 and L3 Anyways, I am gonna keep it going for next 10 days and hope for the best. - Dinesh S
hmm. I’ve gone: Book 6: 1AM: 86.7% 1PM: 83.3% 2AM: 83.3% Might do a couple of CFAI tests now - need to fight complacency.

Your scores are fantabulus… Never seen any numbers better than this!! -Dinesh S
